Clinical herbalist in Weaverville, NC

My name is Wendy Flynn, and I am a clinical herbalist on a mission to help my community find greater wellbeing and vitality through plant medicine. I support folks dealing with a variety of health concerns by applying an integration of modern functional medicine principles and traditional western herbal practices.

One of the biggest ailments of our time is disconnection from the embodied self, community, and nature, which leaves us feeling isolated and unsupported. I offer tea gatherings and community classes in order to share knowledge about health and to build intentional community.

This is a safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals, allies, and all races and ethnicities. All are welcome here ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

TEA GATHERINGS

Modern life was not designed for the kind of nourishment we most deeply need. In the rush and noise of contemporary living, genuine connection has become increasingly rare. Tea Gatherings are an antidote to that loneliness: unhurried circles where like-minded souls come together to share authentic conversation and explore the medicinal wisdom held within a simple cup of tea.

WELLNESS CONSULTATIONS

For those navigating physical or emotional challenges, whether anxiety, disrupted sleep, hormonal shifts, or a general sense of being out of balance, one-on-one wellness consultations offer a spacious, unhurried opportunity to explore what your body may be communicating. Through a comprehensive conversation encompassing your health history, current concerns, nutritional patterns, lifestyle factors, and relevant lab work, we will craft a personalized wellness plan together. This plan may include nutritional guidance, lifestyle recommendations, and herbal and supplemental support tailored to your unique constitution and goals. Small, sustainable shifts have a way of adding up to something profound.

MY STORY

My name is Wendy Flynn, clinical herbalist, medicine maker, and gardener. My passion for herbal medicine grew directly from my own health journey. In my twenties and early thirties Icarried an extensive list of ailments: Hashimoto's hypothyroidism, GERD, seasonal allergies, constipation, severe PMS. Then came a rash on my face, serious digestive symptoms, and stress and anxiety levels I didn't know how to manage. Conventional medicine offered little relief.

A trusted friend referred me to a functional medicine herbalist who asked me to make real changes to my diet, my daily rhythms, my relationship with stillness. It was hard at first. Then something shifted. The results were profound, and they changed the direction of my life. I am honored to now offer others what was once offered to me.

I am a graduate of the Eclectic School of Herbal Medicine, where I received extensive training in herbal energetics, traditional and eclectic herbalism, and the latest research-supported approaches to health, including interpretation of blood work from a functional medicine perspective. Before plants claimed my full attention, I worked as a mental health therapist, massage therapist, and Reiki practitioner. Those roots have never left me. I am endlessly fascinated with all dimensions of being human and hope to never stop learning how to facilitate greater health.

Client Stories

"I've been a client of Wendy's for many years, and I appreciate her vast knowledge of how plants can support us. My favorite blend is Ground and Calm, a tincture that has helped me this year during a time of loss and grief. The Pisgah Herbals tea gatherings are fun and replenishing, a nice way to connect with others who are also seeking community and healing. Highly recommend!"
